HEADLINES:
MAVERICKS NO.1 TEAM IN THE LEAGUE:
- The Missouri Mavericks lead the ECHL with 39 points through their first 22 games of the 2015-16 season. The Mavericks have not lost a game since Oct. 31st and maintain a perfect home record of 8-0-0-0 at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
- The Mavericks 19-2-0-1 start is their best start in franchise history.
- The Mavericks 14-game win streak is the longest active win streak in the ECHL this season.
MAVERICKS PLAYERS ATTEND YOUTH HOCKEY PRACTICES:
- Missouri Mavericks players will be attending youth hockey practices for Kansas City Youth Hockey Association (KCYHA) member teams throughout the season to offer assistance and inspire young hockey players.
- The Missouri Mavericks mascot "MAC" will be in attendance to all youth hockey appearances.

STAR WARS NIGHT - DEC. 19:
- The Missouri Mavericks will host third third-annual Star Wars Night at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Saturday, Dec. 19-opening weekend for the new Star Wars movie "The Force Awakens."
- More than 20 costumed characters from the movie franchise will be in attendance to the Mavericks game, walking the concourse pre-game with fans and participating in Star Wars themed promotions and contests throughout the night! Doors open at 6:00p.m.
TOP GOAL SCORER:
- Missouri Mavericks forward, Jesse Root, leads the ECHL in goals (13) through twenty-two games.
- Root is riding a 8-game point streak, having added 6 goals and 9 assists since Nov. 20th.
- Root is ranked second overall in the ECHL amongst leading point-scorers (28 points).
- Named 2013-14 NCAA (ECAC - Yale University) Best Defensive Forward.
- 2012-13 NCAA Champion (Yale University).
FORMER ECHL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR SHINES FOR THE MAVS:
- Tyler Barnes is right on the heels of teammate Jesse Root for leading goal-scorer, having totaled 12 goals and 14 assists for Missouri through twenty-two games.
- Barnes was named the 2014-15 ECHL Rookie of the Year by the league for his impressive 34-40-74 rookie season with the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
- Barnes is ranked third overall in the ECHL amongst leading point-scorers (26 points) behind teammate Jesse Root (28 points).
MAVS PLAYER CREATING CHILDREN'S COLORING BOOK FOR CHARITY:
- Mavericks defenseman, Kane Lafranchise, uses his time off the ice to work on a coloring book he hopes will help generate donations for a charity close to his heart-The War Amps.
- Lafranchise was inspired by his nephew, Jase (age 2), who was born without a fully-formed hand, to create the coloring book for children in the hospital where his nephew was being treated.
- Lafranchise created all the illustrations for the book, and has been assisted by his fiancé on the accompanying rhyming verse.
