Ty Rimmer Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL names Norfolk Admirals goaltender Ty Rimmer the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 30 - Dec. 6.

Rimmer, 23, went 2-0-0 and recorded a .50 goals-against average (GAA) and .983 save percentage (SV%) last week. The Edmonton native made 27 saves to lead Norfolk to a 3-1 win at home over South Carolina last Wednesday before posting his first shutout of the year on Saturday with 30 stops in a 3-0 victory at Greenville.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound netminder is 6-10-1 with Norfolk this season and currently has a 3.06 GAA and .916 SV%. He ranks third among ECHL goalies in minutes (981) and second in saves (544).

Norfolk's AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, recalled Rimmer on Monday for the first time this season.
