
Norfolk's Rimmer Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Ty Rimmer of the Norfolk?Admirals is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 30-Dec. 6.
The 23-year-old went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .983 in two appearances last week.
Rimmer made 27 saves in a 3-1 win against South Carolina on Tuesday and stopped all 30 shots he faced in a 3-0 victory at Greenville on Saturday.
Under contract to the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League, Rimmer has appeared in 18 games with the Admirals this season posting a record of 6-10-1 with one shutout, a 3.06 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. He is second in the ECHL with 544 saves and third with 981 minutes played.
A native of Edmonton,?Alberta, Rimmer has appeared in 43 career ECHL games with Norfolk and Edmonton and he has seen action in three career American Hockey League games with Oklahoma City.
Prior to turning pro, Rimmer played three seasons in the Western?Hockey League with?Brandon, Prince George, Tri-City and Lethbridge. In 2011-12 he was named to the WHL (West) First All-Star Team and had the league's best save percentage (.922) and goals-against average (2.43) while with Tri-City.
Runners Up: C.J. Motte, Elmira (2-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .959 save pct.) and Mark Dekanich, South Carolina (2-1-0, 1.35 GAA, .944 save pct.).
Also Nominated: Spencer Martin (Fort Wayne), Maxime Lagace (Idaho), Parker Milner (Missouri), Adam Morrison (Reading) and Jake Paterson (Toledo).
