
Mavericks' Forward Andrew Courtney Name to CHL All-Rookie Team

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL), announced Monday afternoon rookie forward Andrew Courtney has been named to the CHL's 2011-12 All-Rookie Team. The Belleville, Ontario native has scored 28 goals and recorded 26 assists for 54 points this season with Missouri and is just one goal away from tying the Mavericks' single-season record for goals of 29. Courtney has also been nominated for the CHL's Rookie of the Year Award.
Courtney, a 6-foot-3, 209-pound forward, has also long broken several Mavs rookie records this season, including goals (28), points (54) and plus/minus rating (currently +14). Courtney is currently tied for the Mavs rookie record for assists in a season with 26. He joins five other players on the All-Rookie team:

Missouri will travel to Evansville on Wednesday night to take on the second-place IceMen. The Mavericks will close out the regular season next weekend with three games in three nights starting on Friday, March 23 against the Bloomington Blaze at Independence Events Center. The final two games of the regular season will be against the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25. The teams will play in Independence on Saturday night and close out the regular season on Sunday in Tulsa.
Single game playoff tickets are on sale now (credit card only). All playoff tickets will be refunded in the event the Mavericks do not qualify for postseason play.
Missouri Mavericks 2012-13 season tickets are on sale now. A $50 dollar non-refundable deposit is required for all season tickets.
