NOTES

Courtney's honor - Mavs' rookie forward Andrew Courtney was named to the CHL"˜s All-Rookie team on Monday. Courtney has also been nominated for the CHL's Rookie of the Year Award. The Belleville, Ontario native has scored 28 goals and recorded 26 assists for 54 points this season with Missouri and is just one goal away from tying the Mavericks single season record for goals of 29.

Stellar debut - Acquired by the Mavs on March 16, goaltender BJ O'Brien made quite the first impression in his first start with Missouri, stopping 36 of 37 shots in the Mavs 4-1 victory over the Bloomington Blaze last Friday.

Assists for Eddy - Mavs' forward Ed McGrane has 15 assists during the course of his current nine-game point streak. In total, McGrane has 17 points on two goals and 15 assists in the last nine games for Missouri, tying season-long streak set by McGrane earlier this season.

First loss against Tulsa - After going 6-0-0 through their first six contests against the Tulsa Oilers, the Mavericks finally dropped their first game of the season against their foes to the southwest, losing 5-4 to the Oilers on Sunday despite erasing a three-goal deficit in the third period.

Offense from the blueline - Missouri defenseman Dave Pszenyczny has provided some offensive pop from the Mavericks' defensive corps this season, scoring 14 goals and recording 19 assists for 33 points. Pszenyczny ranks third amongst CHL defensemen with his 14 goals and has broken the Mavs record for goals in a season by a defenseman, set by Ray DiLauro (10) in 2010-11.

Four to go - The Mavericks have four games remaining on the 2011-12 CHL regular season schedule and hold a four-point advantage over the Quad City Mallards for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Turner Conference. The Mavericks are five points away from clinching a playoff berth for the third consecutive season. Missouri has never missed the playoffs in their franchise history.

Playoff tickets on sale - Individual tickets for the 2012 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs went on sale today. All non-season ticket holders are now able to purchase tickets for the first two games of the first round of the CHL playoffs through Ticketmaster. If the Mavericks do not play the game for which the ticket has been bought, a full refund will be issued.
