New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (7-8-5, 26 pts) are riding a four-match unbeaten streak (1-0-3) and host the New England Revolution (7-5-8, 29 pts) on Wednesday. Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn in English and Spanish.
Coverage on MSG begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday's match will be the 76th regular-season meeting between New York and New England with playoff implications added to the mix. Both teams are separated by just three points and are on the line to whether one plays in an Eastern Conference play-in game or not. The Red Bulls boast a 9-1-2 record against the Revolution all-time at Red Bull Arena with the lone blemish being the first leg of the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals.
The Red Bulls own a strong run of form as the regular-season winds down, stringing together a four-match unbeaten streak with one win and three ties. All four of New York's game-deciding goals have come in the second half with the last three coming in the 77th minute or later. The last time the Red Bulls strung together a four-match or better unbeaten streak was from May 11 through June 1 of 2019 as the team went unbeaten in five at 4-0-1.
New Jersey native Brian White has scored in back-to-back matches, both of which were in stoppage time, to help New York secure ties against Orlando City (1-1) and Chicago Fire FC (2-2) White's goal against Orlando City came in the 95th minute (94:47), which was the latest result changing goal for the Red Bulls in an MLS regular-season match since Tim Cahill in the 97th minute (96:58) in a 2-2 draw with New England in October 2013. Both stoppage time goals came after White had subbed into the match. He entered the Orlando match in the 70th minute and the Chicago match in the 78th minute.
New York travels on Sunday to face New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. Sunday's match will have coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish.
