Real Salt Lake Travels to San Jose in Vital Western Conference Clash

SANDY, Utah - - Real Salt Lake is set to travel to California to face the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, October 27 in a vital Western Conference clash and the first of two consecutive matches against California opposition. Kickoff from Earthquakes Stadium is set for 8:30 p.m. MT with the match being broadcast live locally on KMYU, the KSL TV app and ESPN700 radio.

RSL enters the midweek contest just outside of the playoff picture, sitting just two points behind San Jose after a scoreless home draw with FC Dallas on Saturday. A shutout performance from Andrew Putna helped secure the point, but RSL wasn't able to secure a goal despite 24 shots on the night, a club record-tying 18 coming in the first half.

Wednesday's clash will be the 34th all-time meeting between RSL and San Jose with the series knotted at 11-11-11. In San Jose, RSL is 5-8-4 all-time.
