New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (1-3-1, 4 pts) have back-to-back road matches, beginning with Sporting Kansas City (2-1-2, 8 pts) at Children's Mercy Park at 7 p.m. ET. Coverage of Sunday's match will be broadcast on FS1, FOX Sports Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.
New York and Sporting Kansas City will meet for the 46th time in league play and 30th time in Kansas City. The Red Bulls have fared well in Kansas City of late, owning a 2-1-2 mark in their last five league matches. Most recently, New York bested SKC, 3-2, at Red Bull Arena last season as Marc Rzatkowski tallied a brace in a seven-minute span late in the second half, which included the game winner in the 79th minute.
The Red Bulls hit the road for back-to-back league games for the first time in 2019 and are scheduled to do it three more times. New York picked up at least three points in four of six back-to-back road trips and finished with a 6-3-4 mark. The Red Bulls are 0-1-1 away from Red Bull Arena with a 1-1 draw at Columbus and a 1-0 loss to Chicago.
19-year-old Venezuelan midfielder Cristian Cásseres, Jr. recorded his first career MLS goal against Minnesota United on Saturday. Cásseres Jr. needed just 257 minutes to find his first tally and become the 153rd different Red Bull to score in league play. He has been a part of New York's 18-man gameday roster for eight of the nine matches across all competitions this season and has started two of the five league matches.
New York wraps up their two-match road trip on Sunday, April 20 against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
