
Masters & Dyck to be Inducted into the Conexus Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame

The Moose Jaw Warriors, in partnership with Conexus Credit Union, are excited to announce that Kevin Masters and Paul Dyck will be inducted into the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame on Thursday, Feb. 16 in a ceremony at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
From Calgary, Kevin Masters played with the Warriors from 1988 to 1992. In 246 games regular season games, Masters finished with 38 goals, 108 assists, and 146 points and is the sixth highest scoring defenceman in Warriors' history.
After completing his time in the Western Hockey League, Masters utilized his scholarship fun to attend the University of Calgary where he graduated with a Degree in Kinesiology. He is currently a strength and conditioning coach and works with general population, and adult and youth performance athletes in a variety of sports. He continues to test himself personally, competing in triathlons and marathons. Kevin, his wife Kathryn and two sons, Kyle and Lucas, currently reside in Edmonton. Kyle currently plays for the Kamloops Blazers, while Lukas plays U18AAA with OHA Edmonton.
From Steinbach, Manitoba, Dyck played with the Warriors from 1989 to 1991. In 144 regular season games, he had 17 goals, 51 assists, and 68 points and was selected in the 11th round by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from the WHL, he went on to play professionally from 1991 to 2006. In 10 seasons and 714 games in the IHL, he had 40 goals, 125 assists, and 165 points. He would also play five seasons in Germany, posting 16 goals, 43 assists, and 59 points in 227 games.
After his playing career was complete, Dyck joined the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL) in 2010 and was appointed Interim Head Coach in December, 2011. He was named General Manager and Head Coach in 2012. Dyck holds the record for the fastest Head Coach to win 250 games and on Nov. 5, 2022, he won his 400th game. Under his leadership, the Pistons captured league championships in 2013 and 2018 and he was named the MJHL Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2018. He was served as an Assistant Coach for Canada West at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge where they captured a gold medal. Paul, his wife Candice and children, Annikah, Nate, and Lucas reside, in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Masters and Dyck will be inducted into the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame on Thursday, Feb. 16 and then will be honoured before the Warriors game on Friday, Feb. 17 against the Winnipeg ICE. Tickets to the 2022 Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame ceremony are available at the Warriors Office located on the north side of the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
