KENNEWICK, WA - [LINK] Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has acquired 2005-born defenseman Jackson Romeril from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Romeril, from Calgary, Alta., is in his first Western Hockey League season. He was selected 118th overall in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.

The six-foot-one and 185-pound defenseman played last season with International Hockey Academy U18 Prep. Over 32 games played, Romeril scored once and collected nine assists with 60 penalty minutes.

"With current injuries to our Club it was necessary to add another defenseman," said Tory. "Jackson will provide immediate depth to our roster and is another young player for the future."

Romeril will join the Americans this week.
