Mason Reassigned by Panthers

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have reassigned goaltender Chris Mason.

Mason, 26, who was recalled by the parent club Panthers yesterday, did not appear in Florida's 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues last night. For his career, the Red Deer, Alberta, native has played in four career National Hockey League contests all with the Nashville Predators, going 0-1-1 with a 3.75 goals against average.

In 45 games with San Antonio he has posted a 23-16-5 record and ranks fourth among AHL active netminders with a 2.35 goals against average, while placing third with a .927 save percentage. Mason has started for the Rampage in 12 of their last 13 games, putting together a 7-5-0 mark with a 2.77 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.

San Antonio returns to action this evening when they host their division rivals, the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m. The Rampage (34-26-10-4) currently sit in fifth place in the Western Conference standings with six games remaining.
