
Ducks fall to Phantoms in OT

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Jamie Wright scored twice, including the game-winning goal 3:33 into overtime to lift the Philadelphia Phantoms to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Andre Savage also scored and Mark Greig and Dennis Seidenberg each finished with a pair of assists for the Phantoms, who snapped a two-game road losing streak and improved to 3-0-1-0 against Cincinnati this season.
Antero Niittymaki posted 20 saves en route to his 14th win.
Peter Podhradsky and Jonathan Hedstrom found the back of the net for Cincinnati, which has one win in its last five games (1-2-1-1).
Ilja Bryzgalov made 39 saves in the losing effort for the Ducks and kept the home side in the game in the first two periods.
The Ducks, who have seven games remaining, trail Philadelphia by eight points for the 10th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Cincinnati hosts Grand Rapids Saturday at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
