Marrero with Three Hits in Sens 7-3 Loss at Altoona

The Senators opened their three-game road trip and series at Altoona with a 7-3 loss to Altoona. The Curve scored four times in the third inning and the Senators never recovered. Justin Wilson pitched six innings for the win and improved to 5-4 while Jason Jones took the loss and dropped to 1-2.

Chris Marrero had three hits and drove in a run in the loss while Edgardo Baez had a two-run double. The two of them accounted for all four of the Sens hits.

Anthony Norman had two hits including a home run in his debut for the Curve and Gorkys Hernandez and Josh Harrison both had two hits.

Rafael Martin, Jack Spradlin and Adam Carr pitched the final 2.2 innings perfectly with four strikeouts, keeping the Sens in the game.

Game two of the series is Wednesday night at 7:00pm. The game can be heard on 1460AM The Ticket and through the Senators website at www.senatorsbaseball.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45pm.

The Senators are hosting the 2010 Eastern League All-Star Game on July 14th. Tickets are currently on-sale through the Senators website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are also available in person at the Senators box office 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays.
