Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Palace Theatre today announced that Merchantsauto.com Stadium will serve as a concert venue for "1964"...The Tribute on Thursday, August 12, starting at 7:00pm. The concert described by Rolling Stone Magazine as "The Best Beatles Tribute on Earth" re-creates an early 1960s live Beatles concert with period instruments, clothing, hairstyles and more. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 9, beginning at 9:00am at the Fisher Cats Ticket Office, online at www.nhfishercats.com or by calling (603) 641-2005. Tickets cost $10.00, and all seating is general admission. Gates will open at 4:30pm for Season Ticket Holders, at 5:00pm for the general public and an Atlas Fireworks Show will immediately follow the conclusion of the concert.

"The Beatles' music transcends generations with a number of hits familiar to people of all ages, and "1964" captures the time when John, Paul, George and Ringo were the most famous people on earth," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "1964" will mark the third concert held at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, which previously served as the site for Rock-n-Roll legend Bob Dylan on August 27, 2006, and the Rock 'N' Roll Triple Play, featuring Counting Crows with Live and Collective Soul, on August 17, 2007. The original Beatles were an English rock 'n' roll band consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

The Fisher Cats return to Merchantsauto.com Stadium to open a three-game series against the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, on Tuesday, June 15, at 7:05pm. Prior to the game, which is a Kraft® Singles Tuesday Night Tickets night, there will be a parade to honor participants in the Community College System of New Hampshire Fisher Cats Reading Challenge.
