
Marlies Use Strong Second to Beat Senators 5-4

The Toronto Marlies and Binghamton Senators met for the second time in as many days with the Marlies playing host in the Air Canada Center. With 17, 823 fans out for Family Day, the Marlies would open the scoring when Sam Carrick capitalized on a shorthanded opportunity in the first. Binghamton would respond with two goals, taking the lead into the second. In the second, the Marlies would score three times, including two from Ryan Rupert to regain the lead. After Binghamton tied the game in the third, Sam Carrick scored his second of the game, the eventual game winner earning him the first star.
The Marlies return to the Ricoh Coliseum Saturday February 21st for a match-up against the Texas Stars and Sunday against the Charlotte Checkers. Puck drop for both games is at 3:00 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at marlies.ca/tickets or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825).
