Marlies make roster moves

Mike Penny, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has released forwards J.J. Hunter and Nathan Perrott from their professional tryout agreements with the club.

Hunter, 26, appeared in nine games with the Marlies this season, recording one point (one assist) while collecting eight penalty minutes.

An Owen Sound native, Perrott, 29, was in his second stint with the Maple Leafs' organization and played in four games with the Marlies this season. He was held pointless while recording 19 penalty minutes.

The Marlies return to the ice when they play their first of three scheduled games at Air Canada Centre on Thursday evening. Toronto hosts the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights -

AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames - live on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario at 7:30 p.m. The team continues its ACC homestand on Saturday afternoon versus Hamilton at 12:30 p.m.
