HOUSTON, Texas - Aeros.com, the Houston Aeros official website, received more hits in October 2006 than any month in the site's history, the team announced Wednesday. Aeros.com drew an average of 3,142 hits per day in October, bettering the previous record of 2,657, set in October 2005. That's an increase of 18.3 percent.
In the two full months since the redesign of Aeros.com, website hits are up 24.0 percent. Since September 1, Aeros.com has averaged 2,533 hits per day. An all-time record of 4,240 hits came on Monday, Oct. 2, with 4,022 the next day.
The new Aeros.com, a joint venture of the Aeros and Infinity Pro Sports, was unveiled in mid August. It includes a full multimedia section with video and audio highlights, and also a photo gallery. It's also the official home for Aeros tickets, Houston Aeros Charities and Aeros sponsors.
Infinity Pro Sports is a national sports media firm with over 300 professional sports and non-sports organizations in its client base.
