Nystrom Re-Assigned to Ak-Sar-Ben Knights

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that the Calgary Flames, their National Hockey League affiliate, have reassigned left wing Eric Nystrom to Omaha. The announcement was made by Flames' General Manager Darryl Sutter.

Nystrom has not played a regular season game this year. He was injured during the pre-season while playing with the Flames. Last year as a rookie, the native of Syosset, New York scored 15 goals and had 18 assists for 33 points in 78 games for the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. He also played two games for Calgary.

The Flames drafted Nystrom in the first round, tenth overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He will re-join the team in time for its four-game road trip which begins Thursday in Toronto. The team will play in Hamilton on Friday and Syracuse on Saturday. All the games can be heard live on 1420 KOTK and on the internet at omahaaksarbenknights.com. The Knights will return home to face the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, November 17th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' home games are on sale at the Civic box office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets also are available through all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (402) 422-1212.

Kids 12 and under get in free to all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights games with a paid adult ticket purchased at the box office from 5:00 p.m. on. Other restrictions apply.
