Moose Recall Heshka and Rome

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have recalled defenceman Shaun Heshka from the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL and defenceman Reagan Rome from the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

Heshka, 21, has appeared in two games with the Moose so far in his first season of professional hockey. The Melville, SK native was assigned to the Salmon Kings on Nov. 1/06 and has appeared in two games, collecting an assist. Last season, with the WHL's Everett Silvertips, Heshka scored 10 goals and 49 assists for 59 points and 91 penalty minutes to finish second in the entire league in scoring amongst defencemen.

Rome, 24, was assigned to Reading on Oct. 22/06 and has played in six games with the Royals, collecting thee asssists. Last season, he appeared in 13 games with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL where he collected four assists and 23 penalty minutes. In 49 games with the Royals last season, the Nesbitt, MB native scored six goals and 24 assists for 30 points and 77 penalty minutes.
