Marlies Host IceHogs Tonight at Ricoh Coliseum; Play Four Games This Week

The Marlies open up their four game week on Tuesday night with a matchup against the Rockford IceHogs at Ricoh Coliseum. Ben Scrivens recorded his second shutout of the season on Saturday night in the Marlies 2-0 win against the Bulldogs in Hamilton.
What You Need To Know About The Toronto Marlies...
- The Marlies have posted a record of 7-3-1-1 over their past 12 games. They sit just one point out of first place in the North division standings.
- Toronto's penalty killing unit has been solid through the first 66 games this season, ranking first in the AHL with an 86.6% success rate. Toronto has allowed only nine power play goals over their past 21 games.
- Ben Scrivens appeared in all four of the Marlies games last week, posting a 2-2-0 record with a 1.73 goals against average and 0.944 save percentage.

Last Week:
The Marlies went 2-1-1-0 during their four games last week. Toronto began their week on Tuesday morning with a 3-1 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals. Joe Colborne scored the game's opening goal; however, the Admirals responded with three unanswered goals for the win.
On Friday night, the Marlies knocked off the league's top team, the W- B/Scranton Penguins, 2-1. Jeff Cowan and Mike Zigomanis both registered two point games in the win; while Ben Scrivens made 33 saves.
Scrivens turned aside all 33 shots he faced on Saturday afternoon for his second shutout of the season to lead the Marlies past the Bulldogs, 2-0 at Copps Coliseum. Greg Scott scored the two Marlie goals.
On Sunday, the Bulldogs dropped Toronto, 3-2 in overtime. The Marlies erased a two-goal deficit but eventually fell to Hamilton in extra time.
UPCOMING OPPONENTS
The Marlies host the Rockford IceHogs for the first and only time this season on Tuesday evening. Toronto defeated the IceHogs, 5-1 on January 7 in Rockford. Nazem Kadri and Marcel Mueller both notched three point games in the victory.
Toronto travels to Rochester for the final time this season on Friday night. The Marlies hold a record of 2-3-0-1 against the Amerks this season. The two clubs will face-off one more time on April 9.
The Lake Erie Monsters travel to Toronto on Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest at Ricoh Coliseum. Only one point separates the two clubs in the North Division standings. The Marlies have only one win against the Monsters in their first four meetings.
The Marlies finish their four game week on Sunday with a contest against the Texas Stars. The Marlies hold a record of 9-3- 0-4 against the West Division so far this season.
Reading Report:
The Reading Royals currently rank first in the Atlantic division with a record of 36-18-2-3. Reading has dropped five of their past six games. Robert Slaney recorded three points on Saturday night, earning third star honours.
