Amerks Announce 2011 Clear Day Roster

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today the team's 2011 Clear Day Roster, consisting of two goalies and 20 skaters. The 22-man roster designates the players eligible to compete in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, with players in residence added as needed due to injury or recall.

According to AHL by-laws, only those 22 players listed on a team's Clear Day Roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2010-11 AHL regular season and in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

The following 22 players are currently on the 2011 Clear Day List for the Rochester Americans:

Goaltenders (2): Jacob Markstrom and Tyler Plante.

Defensemen (7): Joe Callahan, Mike Caruso, Keaton Ellerby, Mike Kostka, Evan Oberg, Colby Robak and Clay Wilson.

Forwards (13): Mark Cullen, Michael Duco, Triston Grant, AJ Jenks, Hugh Jessiman, Tim Kennedy, Jeff LoVecchio, Kenndal McArdle, Michal Repik, Bill Thomas, Scott Timmins, Patrick Rissmiller and Chris Taylor.

Players In Residence (6): Paul Baier, Marc Cheverie, Adam Comrie, PJ Fenton, Jordan Knackstedt and Eric Selleck.

The Amerks kickoff their first of three games in as many nights on Friday, March 11th as they play host to the Toronto Marlies in a North Division showdown at The Blue Cross Arena. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be the seventh of eight scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK and FM 107.3, Rochester's Sports Talk.
