Worcester Sharks Announce Clear Day Roster

WORCESTER, MA- Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced the Sharks 2010-11 Clear Day roster today, which consists of 20 skaters and two goaltenders.

According to AHL by-laws, only the players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the AHL regular season and in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of injury, recall or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts after Clear Day, but only once their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

The Sharks' Clear Day roster consists of 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.

Forwards: Jonathan Cheechoo, Patrick Davis, Andrew Desjardins, Benn Ferriero, Kevin Henderson, Cam MacIntyre, Brandon Mashinter, John McCarthy, Jamie McGinn, Frazer McLaren, Mike Swift, T.J. Trevelyan, and Tommy Wingels

Defensemen: Justin Braun, Matt Irwin, Jon Landry, Mike Moore, Nick Petrecki, Nick Schaus, and Sean Sullivan.

Goaltenders: Carter Hutton and Alex Stalock

Players in Residence but not on the Clear Day list: Dan DaSilva, Joe Loprieno, Tony Lucia, James Marcou, Daren Machesney, Jody Pederson, Cory Quirk, and Tyson Sexsmith

A player in residence can only be used during the remainder of the regular season or the playoffs if a combination of three members of the 22-man roster are injured, recalled or suspended.

Worcester will host the Hershey Bears at 7pm on $1 Hot Dog Wednesday! The Sharks look to sweep the season series vs. the defending Calder Cup champs! The game will be televised live on Charter TV3!

On Friday, the Sharks travel to Manchester to battle the first place Monarchs at 7pm.

On Saturday, the Sharks travel to the XL Center for another crucial battle vs. the CT Whale at 7pm.

On Sunday, the Sharks wrap of their 4-game-in-5-day stretch with a 3pm battle at the DCU Center vs. the CT Whale on Go Green Night presented by Superior Waste! Bring in your unwanted computers, monitors, and paper to be recycled by Superior Waste! Its $5 Kids Sundays presented by Papa Gino's! Kids 12-and-under are just $5 with a purchase of an adult gold level ticket!
