
Marlies Break Franchise Record For Wins

Toronto Marlies News Release
A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies recorded their 42nd win of the season on Friday, March 21 against the Hamilton Bulldogs with a 3-2 overtime victory.
With the win, Toronto broke the previous franchise record of 41 wins, which was set during the 2005-06 season, their first season in the AHL. That season the Marlies posted a record of 41-29-6-4 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. The Marlies have reached 42 victories with 12 games still remaining in the season. Toronto is currently in first place in the North Division with a 42-18-3-5 record for 92 points, and hold a seven point advantage over the second place Manitoba Moose.
The Marlies host the Hamilton Bulldogs - AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens - tonight with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.
