Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba vs. Chicago - February 13

Goals:

- Austen Brassard finds an open John Albert in the middle of the ice who wrists it past Jordan Binnington on the powerplay at 8:06 of the first period.

- Matt Fraser takes a shot from the point and goes off the pad of Binnington, Chase De Leo bats the rebound out of the air while on the powerplay at 19:06 of the first period.

- During a scramble out front, Chicago's Jacob Doty scores off a rebound in front of Eric Comrie at 6:36 of the second period.

- Danny Kristo threads the needle on a cross ice pass, connecting for a one-timer with Pat Cannone who beats a diving Comrie at 8:27 of the second period.

- In overtime, Danny Kristo circles around the Moose zone before firing a wrist shot past Comrie at 3:13 of the overtime period.

Highlights/Notes:

- The Moose celebrated Throwback Jersey Day by wearing a replica of their inaugural season uniform from the 1996-97 season. Former Moose Captain from that season Randy Gilhen was on hand to take part in the ceremonial puck drop.

- John Albert scored his eighth goal of the season and third in his last four games. He has recorded a point in every game in February and is on a five game point streak.

- Brenden Kichton extended his point streak to four games with an assist. In his last four games he has one goal and four assists for five points.

- Rookie forward Chase De Leo scored his team leading 14th goal of the season. He leads all Moose players in points with 28 (14G, 14A). He currently sits tied for 12th among all AHL rookies in scoring.

- Moose goaltender Eric Comrie made 35 saves on the afternoon. He leads all AHL goaltenders with 1,055 saves on the season and is second in minutes played with 2,075.

- The Moose scored two or more powerplay goals in a game for the sixth time this season. They did not give up a goal while on the penalty kill for the 19th time this season.

- The Moose lost in overtime at home for the second time this season. Overall in overtime Manitoba has a record of 2-4-4 on the season.

- Chicago now leads the season series over the Moose 6-0-1-0. They will play once more in the regular season.

Next Game is Sunday, Feb. 14 at MTS Centre in a rematch against the Chicago Wolves at 2 p.m.
