Stockton, CA - The Ontario Reign (28-13-3-1) fell to the Stockton Heat (19-19-1-2) 3-0 at Stockton Arena Saturday evening.

Box Score The Heat opened the scoring 7:41 into the first period as forward Mason Raymond cut to the middle of the ice off the right-wing boards and sent in his second goal of the season past Reign netminder Michael Houser (L, 16 saves on 18 shots). Moments later, forward Drew Shore gave the Heat a 2-0 lead on the power play, ripping a shot under the blocker of Houser and through the net from the right-wing circle at 11:56.

After a physical second period, the Heat sealed the victory late in the third frame, as forward Blair Riley netted an empty-net goal at 17:59. Heat goaltender Kevin Poulin recorded his second shutout of the season, making 36 saves. The Reign finished the game 0-for-2 on the power play while the Heat went 1-for-5.

The Reign return to Citizens Business Bank Arena to host the Heat on Wednesday, February 17 at 7:00 p.m.
