Mancini Named Player of the Week

BOWIE, Md. - Baysox first baseman Trey Mancini has been named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, June 21 after recording four multi-hit games during the past week. He was previously named May Player of the Month by both the Carolina League and the Baltimore Orioles Player Development staff.

Mancini hit .444 (8-18) with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and four runs scored in six games during the week. In 15 games since making his Double-A debut with the Baysox June 5, Mancini is batting .377 (20-53) with six doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI. Overall this season between Frederick and Bowie, Mancini is batting .327 with 20 doubles, 11 home runs and 44 RBI in 67 games.
