
Mallards Split Weekend Pair with Central's Best Squads

Moline, IL-The Mallards beat the Kalamazoo Wings 3-2 on Friday night at Wings Stadium. The come from behind victory was followed by a 4-1 loss to Muskegon on Saturday night. Following the 1-1-0 weekend, the Mallards stand at 11-10-4 with just two games left before the Christmas holiday.
This week, the Mallards visit the Port Huron Flags for the first time on Thursday night. On Friday, the Mallards finish their nine game road trip in Fraser, Michigan vs. the Motor City Mechanics.

Thurdsay, December 22nd at 6:00 p.m. central time vs. the Port Huron Flags at McMorran Place Arena
The Mallards visit the Flags for the first time ever on Thursday night in Port Huron. The Flags are on a three-game unbeaten streak that includes wins over high powered squads form Motor City and Kalamazoo.
Friday, December 23rd at 6:30 p.m. central time vs. the Motor City Mechanics at The Garage
The Mallards visit Motor City for the third time this season on Friday night. The last time the Mallards met the Mechanics, Motor City skated away with a 3-2 win. On the season, the Mallards have beaten the Mechanics twice at The MARK and have lost to Motor City twice at The Garage.
The Mallards Pre-Game Show is on 25 minutes prior to face-off on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230. During the intermissions, stay tuned for the Swiss Valley Farms Intermission Report. After the game, the Allstate Insurance Christy Cox Post-Game Show is on the air.

Friday, December 16th -Mallards 3 at Kalamazoo 2
The Mallards struck three times in the third period to hand Kalamazoo their first home ice loss of the year by a final of 3-2. Matt Radoslovich, Anthony Blumer and Noah Whyte scored for the Mallards in the win. Both Wings goals were scored in the first. Jason Deitsch scored at even strength and defenseman Greg Labenski added a power-play marker. After a scoreless second, the Mallards scored three times in the final period. Matt Radoslovich scored his eighth of the year just 5:27 into the period. Glenn Detulleo and Jami Yoder earned assists on the goal. The Mallards tied the game on a power-play goal by Anthony Blumer. Blumer's ninth was assisted by Chad Woollard. Woollard's helper was the 300th point of his pro career. Noah Whyte recorded the game winner with 3:22 left on an unassisted marker.
Saturday, December 17th- Mallards 1 at Muskegon 4
The Muskegon Fury scored three times on the power play on their way to a 4-1 win over the Mallards on Saturday night at L.C. Walker Arena. Anthony Blumer recorded the lone Mallards tally. In the first, the Mallards outshot the Fury 12-9, but were stung by three power-play markers. Rustyn Dolyny and David Wrigley scored on the man-advantage before Anthony Blumer netted his 10th of the season on even strength. Blumer's goal made it 2-1. The Fury added another power-play marker by Robin Bouchard to take a 3-1 lead into the first intermission. Bouchard's marker was his league-leading 26th of the year. The second was played scoreless as was the third until Jeff Nelson scored into an empty net with 55 seconds left.
Player of the Week
Anthony Blumer is the Mallards nominee for the UHL Player of the Week. He recorded a goal in each of the Mallards games on the weekend.
Goalie of the Week
Jason Tapp is the Mallards nominee for UHL Goaltender of the Week. He made 23 saves in the Mallards 3-2 win over Kalamazoo on Friday. He followed that up with 24 saves including several spectacular ones in a 4-1 loss to Muskegon.
Mallards Milestones
Chad Woollard recorded his 300th career point with an assist on Friday in Kalamazoo. The Durham, Ontario native has 153 career goals with 147 assists.
