Magic Re-Acquire Reggis Onwukamuche

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, announced today that the team has added Reggis Onwukamuche back to the team's roster.

Onwukamuche (6-10, 225) joined the Lakeland Magic in 2017 as a Returning Rights Player averaging 1.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. He most recently played in Saudi Arabia for Al Nasr.

Born in Missouri City, Texas, Onwukamuche played two collegiate seasons at Prairie View A&M after transferring from Lone Star College. He was named SWAC's Defensive Player of the Year and named to All-SWAC Second Team for his senior season. Onwukamuche averaged 6.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.73 blocks per game as a senior in 2014-15. He was selected with the 6th pick of the 6th round in the 2015 NBA D-League Draft by the Bakersfield Jam. After being waived by Bakersfield, was selected with the 17th pick of the 3rd round in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers before being traded to the Erie BayHawks.

Onwukamuche will join the team on the road vs the Greensboro Swarm this Friday at 7:00PM and make his home debut on Sunday vs the Wisconsin Herd at 6:00PM at the RP Funding Center.
