WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks (15-8), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, fell to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (10-10), 101-93, Wednesday evening at the Westchester County Center.
Despite trailing 13 points at one point of the game, the Knicks saw themselves in a one-possession contest with 38.8 seconds remaining. However, Billy Garrett's layup through the lane wrapped up scoring for Westchester while the Mad Ants tacked on five more points to ice the game.
John Jenkins scored 25 points to pace the Knicks but did so on an 8-for-23 showing. Sekou Wiggs' 20 points tabbed a new season-high that bested his previous career superlative of 18 points registered against the Erie Bayhawks on March 13, 2018. For Fort Wayne, Stephan Hicks contributed 24 points on 61.5-percent which included three made triples on a 50-percent clip. Edmond Sumner put up 22 points and tied a game-high six assists.
