Stars Begin Four-Game Homestand on Friday

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, will begin a four-game homestand, the club's longest of the season, with "Pirate Night presented by Qualtrics" on Friday, Jan. 4, against the Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami HEAT affiliate).

The first 300 kids in attendance on Jan. 4 will receive a Salt Lake City Stars foam sword, and pirate characters will be in attendance for photographs throughout the evening. The game tips off at 7 p.m. (MT) and will be broadcast on Facebook Live, which can be accessed via the Salt Lake City Stars Facebook page.

The Stars' next game is "Star Wars Night presented by RootsTech" against the Oklahoma City Blue (Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate) on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. (MT). The first 300 kids in attendance will receive a Salt Lake City Stars lightsaber, and Star Wars characters will be on hand at Bruin Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Stars will continue their home dates with a contest against the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks affiliate) on Monday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. (MT) at Bruin Arena, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live. Salt Lake City will conclude its four-game homestand on Wednesday, Jan. 16, against the Stockton Kings (Sacramento Kings affiliate) at 7 p.m. (MT) at Bruin Arena, which will be broadcast on ESPN+. Zions Bank will provide the first 500 fans in attendance on Jan. 16 with a pair of Salt Lake City Stars socks (pictured).

All Stars home games this season include inflatables, pop-a-shot, face painters and balloon artists in the Kids Zone, presented by University of Utah Health, as well as appearances by the team's mascot, Buster, and a rotation that includes the Jazz Dancers, Jazz Dunk Team or Jazz Stunt Team. Doors open at 6 p.m. (MT) for all Stars home games and parking is free.

The Stars own an 11-10 (.524) record on the season, including a 6-4 (.600) mark at home. The roster is highlighted by Utah Jazz two-way players Tyler Cavanaugh and Naz Mitrou-Long, who will continue to split their time between the Jazz and the Stars this season. In addition, Utah Jazz players Grayson Allen, Tony Bradley, Raul Neto and Georges Niang have spent time with the Stars on assignment this season. Willie Reed, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2018 NBA G League Draft, is averaging a double-double with 19.9 points and 11.2 rebounds in 19 games (all starts) with the Stars this season.
