April 7, 2013 - NBA G League (G League)
Indiana Mad Ants News Release

FORT WAYNE, IN (April 7, 2013) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will take on the Santa Cruz Warriors in the first round of the 2013 NBA D-League playoffs. The first game of the series will be played on Wednesday, April 10, at 7:30 pm at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

The Santa Cruz Warriors are the fourth seed headed into the playoffs with a 32-18 record, and the Mad Ants enter the playoffs with the fifth seed and a 27-23 record. The Mad Ants and Warriors played twice earlier in the season in Fort Wayne where the Mad Ants earned two victories. The Warriors are led by Gatorade Call-Up Travis Leslie, point guard Stefhon Hannah, center Hilton Armstrong, and former Golden State Warrior Jeremy Tyler. Former Mad Ant Cameron Jones will also be returning to Fort Wayne as a member of the Warriors.

The NBA D-League playoff format allows the top three seeds -- the three division winners -- to choose their first round opponent. The top seed Bakersfield Jam chose the sixth seed Austin Toros, the second seed Rio Grande Valley Vipers chose the eighth seed Maine Red Claws, and the third seeded Canton Charge chose the seventh seed Tulsa 66ers, which left the fourth seed Warriors facing the fifth seed Mad Ants.

Game two of the series will be played in Santa Cruz on Saturday, April 13, at 10 PM ET. Game three, if necessary, will be played on Sunday, April 14, at 9 PM ET.

As a playoff special, the Mad Ants and the Coliseum will be offering dollar beers and dollar sodas to all fans who attend the Mad Ants first playoff home game! Please reach out to the Coliseum box office at 260-483-1111 for tickets.
