Santa Cruz's Scott Machado Signs with Golden State Warriors

NEW YORK, April 7, 2013 - The Golden State Warriors today signed Santa Cruz Warriors guard Scott Machado for the 33rd GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-1 NBA Development League season. Machado joins 125 players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.
Machado (6-2, 200, Iona) has appeared in 27 NBA D-League games this season, 18 with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and 10 with Santa Cruz. In 27 total games, he averaged 8.4 points, 5.2 assists and 23.9 minutes.
Undrafted out of Iona, Machado signed with the Houston Rockets on Sept. 6 before being waived by the team on Jan. 7. He subsequently joined the Vipers and was traded to Santa Cruz on March 8.
Machado is expected to join Golden State today and be available tonight when the team hosts the Utah Jazz at ORACLE Arena in Oakland, Cali.
