REHAB START: Baltimore Orioles RHP Steve Trachsel will make a rehab start with the Frederick Keys against Lynchburg on Saturday night (tomorrow)... It will be his first start in the Carolina League since his first professional season in 1991 with Winston-Salem...Trachsel, in his first season with Baltimore, is in his 15th major league season and has won 139 career games...He is currently 5-6 with a 4.95 ERA in his first season with the Orioles...

THE HILLCATS...play the third of four games against the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium...Despite going hitless into the sixth inning, overcame a three-run deficit and earned a 6-3 win yesterday...Have won back-to-back road games for the first time since May 31st...Still, are just 11-25 (.306) in their last 36 games...Currently stand five games behind the Wilmington Blue Rocks for first place in the Northern Division second-half race...

THE KEYS...Captured the Northern Division first-half championship despite a record of just 32-37...Are the first team in league history to advance to the post-season by virtue of a losing half-record...Are seeking to become the first Northern Division squad to advance to the Mills Cup for three straight seasons since Wilmington went four straight years from 1993-1996...Are currently hitting a league-worst .241 as a team and have posted a 4.85 team ERA (7th in the CL)...

2007 vs. FREDERICK: Lynchburg has dominated the season series, taking 12 of the first 15 match-ups ...The Hillcats have gone just 26-46 (.361) against the rest of the Carolina League...Lynchburg narrowly captured the 2006 season series, 10 games to 9...Overall, the Hillcats have an edge in the lifetime series 134-116 (.536) and have gone 63-59 (.516) in 122 all-time games at Harry Grove Stadium...

HERO: SS Greg Picart's seventh inning grand slam yesterday turned a one-run deficit into a 6-3 advantage ...The 21-year-old had homered just one other time in his professional career, while with the Gulf Coast League Pirates in 2005...

FIRST TIME: The Hillcats have hit grand slams in consecutive games for the first time in franchise history... Coincidentally, all three Hillcats slams this year have come at the expense of the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium...The team record for most grand slams in a season is four, accomplished in 1995 and 2002...

BID SPOILED: Frederick RHP Chorye Spoone had his no-hit bid spoiled by C Omar Falcone with one out in the sixth inning yesterday...Spoone proceeded to allow six of the next nine Hillcats batters to reach base safely and left the game trailing 6-3...

HOT HITTER: INF Ron Davenport went 2-for-4 last night and has recorded three straight multi-hit games (8-12, .667-0-1)...Additionally, he has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games, batting 17-33, .515-0-2 over the stretch to raise his batting average from .236 to .333...

STOLEN: OF Pedro Powell picked up another stolen base yesterday and has stolen a league-best 39 bases in 50 attempts (78%) this season...The 23-year-old led the league last year with 63 stolen bases and is attempting to become just the 2nd player in league history to win back-to-back stolen base crowns...Jack Mitchell led the league in the category in both 1952 and 1953....
