Clinton LumberKings News Release

The LumberKings kicked off the second half of the season in style behind 2004 first round selection Eric Hurley (7-2; 4.22) who dominated for seven innings, allowing just two hits including a solo bomb while fanning eight.

Andrew Wishy went 3-3 with a triple and a walk to pace the Clinton attack, while Lizahio Baez doubled twice in four trips and Ian Gac drove in three runs on a night that included a two-run double, his only hit in four at-bats.

Ben Harrison (.235 / .332 / .380) delivered an RBI single for his only hit in four at-bats. Harrison, who struggled through blurred vision through the season's first two months, made a trip to a Chicago opthamologist earlier in the month where his vision problems were resolved. He is now hitting .300 / .364 / .540 with four homers and 11 RBIs in 48 June at-bats.
