NORFOLK, Va. - Bulls second baseman Vidal Brujan bashed a lead off home run while right fielder Nathan Lukes collected three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs in Durham's 6-5 victory over the Norfolk Tides on Sunday afternoon at Harbor Park.

Brujan blasted the third pitch of the afternoon for his ninth longball of the year to start the scoring for the Bulls. After Norfolk plated single tallies in the first and second frames, Lukes put Durham back ahead with a two-run single to left in the fourth.

3B Kevin Padlo would then extend the advantage to 4-2 in the following frame via his RBI single to left. Following a Tides solo shot, Lukes would then go yard with a solo roundtripper of his own in the sixth. CF Ryan Boldt would then provide what turned out to be a crucial insurance run with a solo shot in the eighth before a Norfolk two-run homer narrowed the Durham margin to one.

Bulls relievers Colin Moran (1.0 IP, K) and Adam Conley (1.0 IP, BB, K) fired the final two scoreless frames to shut the door on the Tides and preserve the victory, with Conley notching his first save. Durham southpaw Ryan Sherriff (0.2 IP, BB) earned his first win, while Norfolk lefty Alex Wells (4.1 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 5 K) suffered the defeat.

Following a league-wide off day on Monday, the Bulls are set to continue their 12-game road trip by starting a six-game series versus the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Tuesday, June 22. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm ET. Starting pitchers for both teams have not yet been announced.

The Bulls are scheduled to return to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday, June 29 to start a six-game series with the Gwinnett Stripers. First pitch of that game is slated for 6:35pm ET. Tickets for that game and all remaining Bulls home games are now available at durhambulls.com.
