Lowell Devils Holding Holiday Food Drive This Weekend

LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils will be holding a Holiday Food Drive this weekend at the Tsongas Arena as they face the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday, November 22 at 1:30p.m., and the Springfield Falcons on Sunday, November 23 at 4:00p.m. The Devils are asking fans to donate non-perishable food items to help benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and by doing so will receive a free ticket voucher to a future Devils home game.

The focus of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank is to help meet a person's most profound need - adequate nutrition and freedom from hunger. Food pantries served by the Merrimack Valley Food Bank assist families in stretching their food dollars. The Merrimack Valley Food Bank shipped 2.2 million pounds of food in 2007, translating into 1,852,320 meals.
