Stars recall James Neal

The Dallas Stars announced today they have recalled forward James Neal from the Moose.

Neal, 21, appeared in five games with the Moose after being assigned to Manitoba on Nov. 2/08. In that time, the Oshawa, ON native scored five points (4-1-5) and is riding a four-game goal scoring streak at the time of this recall. Neal had played in 12 games this season in Dallas where he'd scored four points (2-2-4), including his first NHL goal in his first NHL game on Oct. 10/08 vs. Columbus. Last season he played in 62 games with the Iowa Stars where he scored 37 points (18-19-37) and 63 penalty minutes.

Neal was originally drafted in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
