LANSING, MI - The Great Lakes Loons pounded out 11 runs and 14 hits Saturday night at Oldsmobile Park to capture an 11-7 series-ending win over Lansing in front of 6,312 fans. Every Loons player reached base in the game and all but one recorded a hit.

JonMichael Redding (8-2) pitched seven innings for his eighth win of the season, ranking his second in the league in that category. He allowed five hits and five runs (three earned).

Six Loons - Jaime Pedroza, Kyle Russell, Esteban Lopez, Austin Gallagher, Nick Buss and Alfredo Silverio - recorded two hits each.

The Loons had scoring threats in each of the first three innings, but scored just one time through three on a third inning wild pitch by starter Jonas Cuotto. The Loons ended each of their first three offensive innings with rally-killing double plays.

After Lansing took a 2-1 lead with two unearned runs in the bottom of the third, the Loons countered with two in the fourth on three consecutive extra base hits - a double by Gallagher, an RBI triple by Buss and an RBI double by Silverio.

In the fifth, Lopez clubbed his first home run of the season, a two-run shot. Russell added his league-leading 16th dinger an inning later. Then in the eighth, Pedroza blasted his ninth longball of the season.

Catcher Tony Delmonico left the game in the bottom of the third. He was knocked to the ground in a collision at home plate with Mark Sobolewski. After the game, he was taken to the hospital for a CT scan and diagnosed with a mild concussion.

The Loons begin a four-game series in South Bend Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Right-hander Ethan Martin (3-3, 4.44 ERA) will start for the Loons against South Bend right-hander Ryan Cook (5-3, 3.67). The game will be carried in Mid-Michigan on ESPN 100.9-FM and online at Loons.com.

The Great Lakes Loons are the third-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
