Cam Hobson (W, 4-3) earned the win for the Generals after stymieing the Suns to just one run (earned) on five hits in 5.2 innings of work, while walking a pair of batters and striking out three.

James Nygren (L, 0-2) started the game for the Suns and took the loss after allowing three runs (all earned) on six hits in four innings of work. Nygren struck out one batter and didn't issue a single walk in Sunday's outing.

Matt Montgomery allowed two runs (both earned) on four hits in his two innings of relief. Greg Nappo was impressive in his two innings of work, retiring all six batters he faced, while Edgar Olmos allowed one hit, a solo home run, in the top of the ninth inning.

With a win on Saturday, the Suns were assured of a series win, ultimately taking three of five from the Generals.

The Generals grabbed an early lead after Dan Paolini drove a two-run double down the left field line to give Jackson a 2-0 edge after the first half inning of play.

After hitting nine home runs in 35 games for Advanced-A High Desert, Patrick Kivlehan (HR, 1) hit his first home run as a Jackson General, a solo shot to right-center in the top of the fourth to extend the lead to 3-0 in favor of the Generals.

The Generals plated another run in the top of the fifth to make it a 4-0 lead, but the Suns countered with their lone run coming on an Alfredo Lopez two-out RBI double in the bottom of the fifth, cutting the deficit to three.

Mickey Wiswall (HR, 5) went deep for the fifth time on the season, with his one-out solo blast in the sixth pushing Jackson's lead to 5-1.

The Generals added one final run on a mammoth solo blast off the bat of Jack Marder (HR, 2) to begin the top of the ninth inning and make it a 6-1 Generals lead.

The Suns will welcome the Montgomery Biscuits back to town for six games over the course of the next five days, beginning with a 4:05 ET first pitch on Monday at Bragan Field.
