PHILADELPHIA (July 23, 2012) - Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association will collect donations for the American Rescue Workers Hollidaysburg Food Pantry at the Altoona Curve minor league baseball game on Friday, July 27.

Game attendees who donate a canned food item will receive a miniature cow keychain as a thank you from local dairy farmers.

All guests are invited to stop by the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program booth to register for the "Your Milk Comes from a Good Place" prize pack, consisting of four tickets to a future Altoona Curve game, a gift card for concessions and various "got milk?(r)" items. The team is also offering a shirt signed by all team members as a special offer for the grand prize.

The booth will feature the new "Your Milk Comes from a Good Place" campaign to help consumers connect to where their milk comes from and shine a spotlight on the hard work and dedication of local dairy farm families. Visitors may play fun games, win prizes, and learn about dairy farming.

"This is a great way to show what our dairy farmers are all about - giving back to the community," said Patty Purcell, CEO of Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. "We're happy to work with the Altoona Curve to provide nutritious food to the families of the Altoona area. Our dairy farmers are proud to support the local communities we serve."

Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program are the local planning and management organizations funded by dairy farmer checkoff dollars. They work closely with Dairy Management Inc.(tm) and are responsible for increasing demand for U.S.-produced dairy products on behalf of Pennsylvania's dairy farmers.
