LAST GAME: Caleb Joseph homered twice to lead the Bowie Baysox past the Binghamton Mets by a 6-2 score last night at Prince George's Stadium. The B-Mets rolled into four double plays and suffered their six loss in the last seven games. B-Mets starter Darin Gorski was tagged for four runs on five hits and walked six, a career-high. Mike Wright tossed five shutout innings to earn his first Double-A win. Binghamton finally cracked the scoreboard in the eighth on an RBI single by Reese Havens off Robert Hinton. After Bowie scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth off Robert Carson, reliever Clay Schrader gave up a hit and walked three, including one with the bases loaded. Kyler Newby entered and induced Wilfredo Tovar to bounce into a game-ending double play.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Greg Peavey (3-6, 6.09) makes 18th start of the season and first against the Rock Cats. Peavey has lost his last five decision and gone winless in his last nine games. Peavey took the no-decision in his most recent start against the Trenton Thunder on July 17. He allowed three runs on eight hits and struck out three over 6.1 innings. Peavey has not won a game since he defeated the Portland Sea Dogs on May 20.

LHP Aaron Thompson (3-4, 5.57) takes for his tenth start of the season and first against the Binghamton Mets. Thompson has allowed a total of 31 hits in his last three games. He surrendered five runs on ten hits over eight innings in his most recent start against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on July 17. Signed by the Twins as a minor league free agent in December 2011, Thompson is pitching for his fourth organization in the last four years. Thompson spent 2011 in the Pirates' system, eventually making his Major League debut on August 24, 2011. The New Mexico native was selected by the Marlins in the first round of the 2005 draft out of Second Baptist School (Houston, TX). He was traded to the Washington Nationals in July 2009 and claimed off waiver by the Pirates in December 2010.

OFF ON THE WRONG FOOT: The B-Mets opponent has scored the first run in each of the last five games. The Bowie Baysox won the last three games of the four-game series wire-to-wire. Binghamton has not held a lead since they took a 4-3 advantage in the top of the tenth inning on Thursday night.

STARTER SLUMP: In all three Binghamton losses in their previous series in Bowie, their starting pitcher failed to go more than four innings. Zack Wheeler was tagged for a career-high eight runs over 3.2 innings on Friday night. On Saturday, Gonzalez Germen was chased after allowing four runs in just one inning, his shortest career start. Darin Gorski issued a career-high six walks in four innings on Sunday night. It was the first time this season the B-Mets have had a starter exit after four innings or fewer in three straight games.

HITS IN BUNCHES: B-Mets outfielder Juan Lagares has collected two hits in three straight games, kicking his average to .284, the highest this season since May 23. In the last seven games in which he has picked up a hit, he has collected exactly two hits.

WALKS PILING UP: Three B-Mets pitchers combined to match a season-high by issuing nine walks yesterday. It was the second time in the series Binghamton handed out nine free passes. The Baysox walked 26 times in the final three games of the series.

EVERYTHING IS ROS-EY: B-Mets reliever Adrian Rosario tossed three shutout innings last night. It was his longest appearance as a B-Met this season.

AGAINST THE ROCK CATS: The B-Mets have gone 1-5 versus New Britain this season, including a 1-3 mark at New Britain Stadium. In the first six meeting this year, the B-Mets have hit .257 as a team and compiled a 3.35 ERA.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their series against the New Britain Rock Cats tomorrow nigh at 7:05 PM. LHP Mark Cohoon takes the hill for Binghamton against RHP Blake Martin.
