B-Mets Set to Host Workforce Night

The Binghamton Mets, the AA affiliate of the NY Mets, and the Broome Tioga Workforce NY today announced that the B-Mets will offer the unemployed in Broome and Tioga counties 2,500 free vouchers for the August 1 st home game against the Harrisburg Senators. The evening has been dubbed Workforce Night presented by UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, whose mission is to assist people live healthier lives by ensuring access to high quality health care services for the underserved. These vouchers, each the equivalent of two tickets, are available while supplies last. The vouchers are redeemable at the Mets Box Office at NYSEG Stadium. After they confirm that they are unemployed, residents of Broome and Tioga Counties can pick up one or two vouchers at these locations:

Not only will the unemployed receive tickets to see this great team; they will also get excellent career services from dedicated staff at the Broome Tioga Workforce NY's One-Stop Career Centers. Services include information about electronic job-matching, On-the-Job Training, and workshops on resume writing and career counseling. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, the evening's corporate sponsor, will have its professionals on hand at NYSEG Stadium the night of the game to assist unemployed attendees in making informed health care decisions by simplifying the health care system and gaining access to health care coverage.
