Loaded Eight-Game Salt Lake Bees Homestand Begins Friday

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake Bees begin an eight-game homestand on Friday night filled with Pink jerseys, pirates and kids. The homestand begins with four-games against the Reno Aces followed by a four-game series with the Albuquerque Isotopes. Below is an overview of the theme nights, community activities, promotions and giveaways planned during the eight-game homestand.

Friday, May 6 vs. Reno Aces, 6:35 p.m.

- First series of the year against Reno, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

- Pirate Night includes a best-dressed Pirate contest with a $200 cash prize, photo opportunities with Pirates on the concourse and a special Pirates Punch drink in the Fastball Stand.

- Fans that dress up as pirates can receive a discount of up to $5 at the box office.

- Baseball Hall of Fame after school program will visit the ballpark. Refugee children that have completed the after school program that teaches kids history, science, math and other fundamentals through the lens of baseball will be treated to a game and a visit from a Salt Lake Bees player.

- Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) Postgame Kids Run on the field following the game.

Saturday, May 7 vs. Reno Aces, 6:35 p.m.

- Pack the Park Pink Night.

- Fans can receive a discount of up to $5 at the box office by wearing pink.

- The Bees will wear Pink uniforms with names of donors on the back.

- The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a pink t-shirt. Additional shirts will be available for a $5 donation to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

- The Bees will host their first Sons of Baseball MVP visit. MVP Experiences are an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for families to enjoy a baseball game and meet players from the Salt Lake Bees. More information about Sons of Baseball is available at http://www.sonsofbaseballfoundation.org.

- Postgame fireworks show presented by Larry H. Miller Collision Center.

- Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) Postgame Kids Run on the field following the fireworks.

Sunday, May 8 vs. Reno Aces, 1:05 p.m.

- 1:05 Matinee Start time.

- Mother's Day Brunch prior to the game.

- Pampering in the Park for Mother's Day presented by Gildan. Mothers can get free massages and manicures and Gildan will give out free T-shirts to moms.

- University of Utah Health Care Fun in the SUNday game. UUHC will hand out sunscreen and other sun-safe items at the game.

Monday, May 9 vs. Reno Aces, 6:35 p.m.

- Smith's Family Night. Families can purchase four tickets and four hot dogs for $20 at Smith's Tix locations.

Tuesday, May 10 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes, 6:35 p.m.

- First series of the year against the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

- $2 Tuesday - includes two tacos for $2 or a box of popcorn and 12 oz. soda for $2.

Wednesday, May 11 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes, 10:35 a.m.

- Prevention Dimension Kid's Day. Over 12,000 fifth and sixth grade students will come to the game with free admission courtesy of Med One Capital, Questar and Zero Fatalities.

- Special 10:35 a.m. start time.

- First pitch from Governor Gary Herbert.

- American Idol contestant Shaun Canon Barrowes will sing the National Anthem.

Thursday, May 12 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes, 6:35 p.m.

- Thirsty Thursday presented by Coors Light with $2.75 drinks.

Friday, May 13 vs. Albuquerque Isotopes, 6:35p.m.

- Friday the 13th Night. Smith's Ballpark will be turned into a family friendly haunted house.

- Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) Postgame Kids Run on the field following the game.
