Lind Helps Team White Win Bronze in Capital City Challenge
December 1, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Red Deer Rebels News Release
Rebels forward Kalan Lind recorded an assist for Team White Wednesday in a 6-1 win over the Canadian National Women's Team in the bronze medal game of the Capital City Challenge in Ottawa.
Lind scored three times and added one assist in five games in the four-team tournament that included the women's national squad and three teams featuring the top under-17 players from across Canada.
Team Red will face Team Black in the gold medal game later today.
Lind missed three WHL games while competing in the tournament, but will be back in the Rebels lineup for Friday's Toque and Teddy Bear Toss game versus the Moose Jaws Warriors at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
Fans are asked to bring toques, mitts, socks and teddy bears and toss the goods onto the ice when the Rebels score their first goal of the game, which is support of the Red Deer Christmas Bureau, a non-profit organization that was set up to help children and families in need at Christmas.
