Lincoln Saltdogs News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Lincoln Saltdogs and Sioux Falls Pheasants both fell victim to the weather on Monday, as heavy rains postponed their series opener. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday.
Both teams were able to take batting practice on Monday, but rain began falling about an hour before the scheduled first pitch. The tarp was quickly placed on the field, but heavier rains came and continued for over an hour, soaking both the outfield grass and the warning tracks. The game was called before the starting pitchers began to warm up.
Lincoln and Sioux Falls will play a doubleheader on Tuesday, consisting of two seven-inning games. The first pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:05pm.
