Limited Tickets Remain for Tonight's Game

(AKRON, OHIO) July 3, 2015 - The Akron RubberDucks announced today that there are limited tickets remaining for tonight's game at 7:05 p.m. vs. Bowie Baysox.

Gates for tonight's game open at 5:30 p.m., but with tonight's large crowd and the Independence Weekend activities taking place on S. Main St., including RubberDucks' Main Street Festival from 5-7 p.m. and the "Rib, White & Blue" rib festival, fans are encouraged to come early to avoid traffic, parking, and ballpark entry concerns.

Tickets are still available for the July 4 "Fourth on the Field" special event at Canal Park. Gates open tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. and the movie "Shrek" will be shown at 7:55 p.m. It will conclude in time for fans to watch the City of Akron's Independence Day fireworks show, scheduled for 9:45 p.m.

Families will be able to view the movie and fireworks from the field or stands. No outside food or beverages are permitted in the ballpark.

Tickets are $5 and children ages 3 and under enter for free, with proceeds benefiting Hattie Larlham. There is also a special $22 package which includes the movie, fireworks, a two-hour all-you-can-eat picnic, and a ticket to the CBS Sports Network-televised July 23 game vs. Altoona.

2015 Canal Park "Fourth on the Field"

When: Saturday, July 4 - Gates at 6:30 p.m.; "Shrek" at 7:55 p.m.; City of Akron fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

What: Showing of the movie "Shrek" on the giant 26'x68' HD video board, followed by the City of Akron fireworks show

Tickets: $5 general admission; $22 package, which includes two-hour all-you-can-eat picnic and July 23 game ticket
