After the same two teams split a two-game set in Allentown, the first-place IronPigs (48-35) play the opener of a two-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs (35-48) at NBT Bank Stadium... With a 4-2, walk-off victory in 10 innings last night, the Pigs split the series at Coca-Cola Park and maintained their 5.5-game lead over Scranton/WB. The Pigs have won seven of their last 11 contests and own a 19-9 record in their last 28 affairs... The Chiefs --Washington's top affiliate -- have still won three of their last five games. In fact, the Chiefs are 5-4 over their last nine contests after positing a 7-22 record from May 30 through June 28 -- a span that included a season-high, eight-game losing steak (June 9-16)... The Pigs swept the last meeting in a three-game series at Syracuse from May 18-20 and have won 22 of their last 33 affairs at NBT Bank Stadium.

RHP Jacob Waguespack (0-4, 5.13) will start for LHV against RHP Brady Dragmire (0-3, 7.13).
