INDIANAPOLIS - Brandon Waddell fired seven innings and Jordan Luplow had two hits and an RBI to lift the Indians to a 4-2 win over the Bats on the Fourth of July at Victory Field. In front of 14,387 in attendance, the Indians improved to 11-10 all-time at Victory Field on July 4.

Indianapolis (45-38) got back in the win column via early offense against Domingo Tapia and Evan Mitchell. Kevin Newman walked, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by Bats catcher Chad Tromp, setting up an RBI single off the bat of Jordan Luplow.

Three innings later, the Tribe sent eight men to the dish against Mitchell in his only inning of relief.
