Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (32-28) return home to start a nine-game, 10-day homestand with Game 1 of a three-game series against the Durham Bulls (28-34) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 2-1 loss to the Braves yesterday, the Pigs dropped the final two games of the series -- splitting the four-game set at Coolray Field and finishing 5-3 on the eight-game, South Division road trip. The Pigs remain 17-11 since May 12 after starting 15-17... The Bulls -- Tampa's top affiliate -- won 3-2 last night against Norfolk to split a two-game series and a four-game, home-and-home set with the Tides. The surging Bulls have won seven of their last nine contests, including a six-game winning streak from June 1-6, for the best record in the IL in this month.
RHP Jake Thompson (4-5, 3.82) will start for LHV against LHP Blake Snell (3-4, 3.14).
Tonight is Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Brown Daub Kia, and a salute to Philadelphia... First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
