LHV Game Notes

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (46-55) play the finale of a three-game series against the sixth-place Syracuse Chiefs (39-63) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 4-3 win last night, the Pigs have now won seven consecutive contests over Syracuse and have improved to 4-2 on this seven-game homestand. The surging Pigs have won 17 of their last 24 affairs and sport the IL's best record (24-13) since June 14 after falling back to their low-water mark (22-42) of the season. They've also won 19 of their last 27 matchups with North opponents... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- have dropped four straight contests to fall to 1-5 on their seven-game, North Division road trip. Still, the Chiefs are 11-9 since setting a low-water mark (28-54) on July 3. They're also 20-20 since June 14, following a 3-25 span from May 16 to June 13... Next up for the Pigs is a two-game road series -- and four-game, home-and-home series -- that starts tomorrow against first-place Scranton-WB, which has won four in a row after an 8-16 skid from June 25 to July 21.

RHP Jason Berken (5-7, 3.39) will start for LHV against RHP Bruce Billings (6-4, 4.45).

First Pitch is at 1:35 p.m.
